STCW 3 Day Fire Fighting And Fire Prevention (FFFP) - MCA Accredited

This 3 day course is approved by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) as meeting the requirements for mariners laid down in Regulation VI/1, paragraph 1 and Section A-VI/1, paragraph 2.1.2 of the STCW Convention and Code 1978, as amended. Successful completion of the course results in certification issued under the authority of the MCA.

The course includes:

• The theory of combustion, methods of propagation and the extinguishing agents and methods.
• The theory of respiration, breathing apparatus control procedures and how to work safely and effectively in hot and humid atmospheres.
• Search and rescue procedures and fire suit effectiveness.
• All theory is enhanced by extensive practical exercises, involving live fire and smoke atmospheres, in a safe and supervised environment using Fire Security's unique facilities.
